It’s a really busy time at work and I haven’t been doing a lot of other things. Hopefully things will be more relax by this month end and I can get back to doing fun things. Meanwhile, here is a quick round up of some good things I read in the past couple of weeks:

I can’t believe that I lived in France for 3 years and haven’t tried even half of these 44 classic French meals

It’s funny how toast has become the latest food craze in San Francisco

Some great time saving cooking tips from experts

This glow in the dark ice cream seems interesting

A nice article on cooking for newbies

Love this MasterChef scrambled egg recipe

Another nice article on the most influencial chefs of 2013

And lastly, since I have never had any formal cooking training (and can end up with some major disasters in the kitchen at times) I decided to do some serious reading on the topic. I got my hands on this book and it seems like its the perfect place to start!

Some Good Desserts & Bookmarked:22/12/2013

It’s been a really busy week again with no time to blog. Here is a quickpost before I head back to work.

A small list of some really good desserts I have tried:post12pic2Tarte Fraise at the famed La Durée in Paris.

post12pic3One of the best Tiramisus I have had at this cozy little Italian place in Paris called Little Italy. (Sorry I couldn’t take a photo before everyone started eating it).

post12pic4The Red Velvet cake from Theobrama in Mumbai just melts in your mouth!

post12pic1San Churros in Mumbai has this huge dessert called Beryy Bizcocho which you can’t stop eating.

And here are some good things I read this week:

I really liked this post on 28 must-have dishes in the 28 Indian states.

An interesting article talking about the 6 creepiest lies the food industry is feeding you.

My go-to kheer recipe. (I like Kheer to be thick and creamy, so I cook it for a while after adding all the ingredients mentioned in the recipe)

And lastly, here is a great app to add titles, messages, designs, to your photos!

Have a good weekend!

Weekend is here and I am feeling better! Also, it’s been my most productive week blogging-wise. I really didn’t think I would be writing so much when I started the blog. To wrap the good week, here are some great links:

Have you ever thought of the chemistry behind baking cookies?

I love this new way of peeling an orange without using your fingers.

Very helpful post on how to read a recipe correctly.

A nice article describing the sad truth behind Kopi Luwak or Civet Coffee, the world’s most expensive coffee.

And to end on a brighter note, this 3D printer can print perfect pizzas!

Hope you have a great weekend!

I do a lot of browsing, researching and reading on the internet for work and for fun. And there are so many interesting things I come across that I would love to share. So, starting today, I will be doing a post every Saturday putting together a list of amazing links I chance upon throughout the week.

Here are some great articles for this week:

A great list of cheap eats in Mumbai by Mumbai Boss. Must have for all foodies in Mumbai!

When I was starting this blog about a month back, I was looing for some tips and words of advice. This article really stuck with me.

Three easy ways to peel tomatoes! The first one worked fabulously for me.

I really liked this restaurant branding consultancy blog. Loads of brand campaigns to browse through.

A slightly nerdy (and long) article about how the smallest of our day-to-day experiences have a long-lasting impact on our genes.

And lastly, I can’t get over this Volvo ad featuring Van Damme!

Hope you have a nice weekend!
